• Xerox to provide printing and scanning services to Glasgow 2018

        • Xerox has been appointed official provider of print and scanning services to the Glasgow 2018 European Championships.

The technology leader will supply point of need printing and scanning services for the duration of the new multi-sport event, taking place between 2nd and 12th August. Xerox will provide 170 ConnectKey multifunctional and desktop printers enabling printing and scanning of competition details, latest news and results via the Xerox Print Management and Mobility Service (XPMMS) and scanning apps from mobile and PC devices across all event and hospitality locations. Xerox will also provide on-site technical support.

Colin Hartley, Glasgow 2018 Championships Director said, “the Glasgow 2018 European Championships is a world first event which requires all of our staff and offices to operate to the very highest standards. We look forward to working with Xerox and all of our sponsors to deliver a sporting and cultural event which will make Scotland proud.”

Xerox has experience in delivering office services to a number of high profile events and clients, including the London 2012 Olympic Games. Glasgow 2018 will see more than 3,000 athletes visit Scotland to compete in six sports - Aquatics, Cycling, Golf, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon – across 11 days.

Andrew Morrison, Managing Director, Xerox UK and Ireland added, “the Glasgow 2018 event will be spread out over a number of different competition and hospitality locations, making it vital that the right documents get to the right people at the right time. We’re looking forward to contributing to the smooth running and reporting of Glasgow 2018 and are confident that our easy to use, secure solutions will ensure a seamless printing and scanning experience for all staff.”
