VOW Wholesale is challenging its employees to raise funds for the Institute of Cancer Research in its latest initiative.
The ICR’s mission is to make the discoveries that defeat cancer. Its vision is that people can live their lives free of cancer as a life-threatening disease. The organisation works on all cancer types including children’s cancers, pancreatic, brain and lung cancer.
Every year members of VOW’s senior team take part in the industry fundraiser Climb of Life, raising money in aid of The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) while tackling some of the toughest mountains in the UK. These charity efforts, headed up by Graeme Chapman MBE, have raised over £1.5m in the last 30 years. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, this event will not be able to go ahead this year.
VOW said, “We are asking all our VOW colleagues to get out and either walk or run on the 6th, 7th, or 8th of November (or all 3 if you can). Get your friends and family involved, and help us reach our target of 1,000 miles, but more importantly raise awareness as well as much needed funds by directing any business or personal contacts to the Just Giving page.”
