UTAX’s first compact A4 colour MFP sees positive feedback

UTAX 350ci

UTAX (UK) has launched a new range of A4 console MFP devices that provide the productivity and functionality of an A3 device in a compact A4 footprint.

The UTAX 300ci, 350ci and 400ci A4 'plus' MFPs, give companies the choice to opt for a less bulky A4 device for printing, scanning and copying with finishing features, such as stapling and punching. Dealers also benefit with enhanced flexibility with selling and rolling out printer fleets.

Shaun Wilkinson, Managing Director at UTAX (UK) said, "we're seeing growing demand for 31-44ppm colour output in the A4 arena, which these devices deliver. Add in the fact that more users are upgrading to A4 MFPs from standalone colour printers than ever before, and it's almost as if there's a new product sector opening up which our partners can now tap into, thanks to the launch of our new range. As well as the obvious attraction for organisations where space is at a premium, the new range allows our dealer partners to sell in new market sectors."

Born out of a change in print habits and related consumer demand, the new range supports advanced finishing options with their flexible modular design, a range of paper tray and sorting options that can be added to support high volume print runs.

Key Features:

Paper input of up to 3,100 sheets and an output, when using the external finishing options, of up to 3,300 sheets.

Stapling and punching modules are also available.

Suited to needs including desktop models and five-tray floor-standing workgroup colour MFPs.

Robust and long-lasting as their larger A3 equivalents

Long-life consumables and easy-change toner cartridges

350ci and 400ci models offering enhanced print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi

Print on a range of paper sizes from A6R to a long 'banner feed' 216 x 1200.

Having seen early indications that the devices will be popular, Shaun adds, "we've been busy showcasing these devices to dealers at specific launch events and feedback has been extremely positive so far. Looking forward, we will be launching a number of new software HyPAS applications throughout the year that will help users maximise the potential of these new A4 devices, and the full UTAX range."
