The Stationers’ Company Warrant for Excellence 2018/2019 programme launches this week. The Warrant been developed to recognise excellence within the Communication and Content industries and having a Stationers’ Warrant for Excellence for a product or service is a visible sign of quality.
Recipients will be able to use the Warrant on the product itself, on its packaging or for promotional purposes. It should be emphasised that it is the product or service and not the manufacturer or supplier that is awarded the Warrant.
The Warrant is about recognising the following criteria:
- Original design and interpretation
- High quality manufacturing/production techniques effective use of materials and attention to detail
- Appropriate and sustainable packaging suitable for its method of sale
- Environmental credentials and compliance with ethical trading guidelines
- Relevance to its market sector
Each product entered will be evaluated against the criteria above by the judging panel. This year’s judges are:
Sammy Bartley - Owner of Bartley Business Associates
Vanessa Kramer - Picture Editor
Philip Lawson - Chief Executive Officer of BOSS Federation
Christopher Leonard-Morgan - Founder London Stationery Show
Toby Robins - Chief Executive of Office Club
Doug Wills - Managing Editor of The Evening Standard / Independent
Any company from one of the industries represented by the Stationers’ Company can apply. The application form is available here.
Applicants are encouraged to approach Sammy Bartley on sammy@bartleybusiness.co.ukto discuss the application before submitting the form and the £500 plus VAT entry fee. The closing date is 20th July 2018.
Successful recipients will be guests of the Company at a prestigious lunch at Stationers’ Hall. In 2017 the Stationers’ Company awarded nine Warrants, which included Alamy, Euroffice, Go Pak, Office Club, PCS, Prima, Slightly Foxed, Stewart Superior and Victor Stationery.
