Tech Data has signed a distribution agreement to bring the HONOR brand of smartphones to the UK market.
Designed to meet the needs of trend-setting consumers, the complete 2019 HONOR range will be available from Tech Data, and right now includes the recently-launched HONOR 8X, which was named Budget Smartphones of the Year in 2018 by Stuff magazine and the and much-anticipated HONOR View 20 smartphone and Band 4 wearable devices.
Tech Data will be looking to capitalise on this momentum and support retailers and resellers in maximising the potential of the HONOR product range in the UK market. HONOR has achieved four-fold growth in its market share in the UK and become the fifth-largest smartphone brand in the market at the end of 2018, according to GfK. Models like the HONOR 9 Lite and HONOR 10 stand out from the crowd and are rapidly building a strong reputation in the market.
David Brassington, Business Unit Director - Mobile and CE Endpoint Solutions, Tech Data UK said, “HONOR is one of the rising stars in the smartphone market and a significant addition to our portfolio. It means that we can offer our customers even more choice alongside our industry-leading services and give them every opportunity to maximise the potential of the HONOR brand, which is quickly building a strong reputation amongst consumers who are looking for a smartphone that delivers exceptional value for money.”
Bond Zhang, Country Manager, HONOR UK said, “we have experienced extremely fast growth in our UK sales over the past year and have ambitions to accelerate that even more. We see the UK market as a very good opportunity and Tech Data has the experience and capabilities to help us achieve our goals for 2019. We have a number of new models including the flagship HONOR View 20 devices, planned for release over the coming months, which we will be launching through and in partnership with Tech Data. It promises to be a very exciting year ahead for HONOR and all its channel partners.”
