Tech Data expands services portfolio with break-fix offering

Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, has added a value-added service to its portfolio, launching a break-fix option for printers and multi-functional devices. Available nationwide, the service will cover brands including Canon, Epson, HP, and Xerox, and will be available for partners to re-sell as their own white label offering.

Tech Data offers several print-specific services. In addition to the break-fix offering, it provides options for the on-site installation of printers and multi-functional devices. Its OpenMPS managed print service enables partners to offer a fully automated service for the replenishment of ink cartridges and toner for devices deployed in the workplace and/or at home.

Mark Glasspool, Services Director, UK and Ireland said, “Tech Data is a leading distributor for all the leading print brands and – as we continue to expand our services portfolio – offering a break-fix maintenance option for printers and multi-functional devices feels like a natural evolution for us. It’s yet another service our partners can offer as part of their added-value portfolio, extending their value proposition and revenue-generating potential.

“As end-user customers of all sizes digitally transform, adopt cloud and subscription services, and adapt to hybrid working, they are looking to outsource more of their everyday IT function. This has increased demand for services when partners face a continual challenge in recruiting, managing and retaining technical staff. Many reseller businesses need additional capacity and are looking to Tech Data as their trusted partner to help them fill the gaps.”

Over the past year, Tech Data has invested in its services capability, introducing 15 new services, and streamlining processes to make it easier for partners to access and use its capabilities. Other services on offer include installation and maintenance of power protection solutions, custom website optimisation, tailored retail merchandising, smart home device and TV installation, bill and hold, comprehensive third-party logistics, and more. Extensive trade-in and credit and finance options are also available from Tech Data.
