STAEDTLER’s Business Manager, Graham Harrison scooped the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2018 ERA Awards ceremony at the NEC on Friday 16th March. The awards are held annually to celebrate outstanding success for the suppliers and teaching professionals of the UK education sector.
Having joined the sector in 1989, Graham Harrison established himself as a lively industry character working for several well-known education brands. It was in 2000 that he joined STAEDTLER (UK) Ltd as Business Education Manager from Edding. At the ceremony, his contribution to the company’s success in the educational channel was acknowledged, in particular his negotiating skills, his devotion to customer care and his perceptive insight into the channel’s needs. His initiative to develop class packs in association with Gratnells was an industry first.
Philip Wesolowksi, Managing Director, STAEDTLER (UK) Ltd, said, “we are delighted that Graham was recognised at the Education Resource Awards. He has made an invaluable contribution to the business during his tenure responsible for the Education channel. This important channel helps build the STAEDTLER brand recognition from an early age, particularly with our Noris brand. Our consumers, in many cases, started writing with our Noris pencils at primary school and are now the customers
of our products through the retail channels. Graham’s foresight to develop this channel and his work, together with the wider team at STAEDTLER, has ensured that this is exactly what we have done – recognised appropriately with his Outstanding Achievement award.”
Graham Harrison added, “I’m so very fortunate to work for such a fabulous company producing great quality products and, above all, to have the opportunity to work with exceptional colleagues, customers and competitors alike.”
