Sharp Europe has announced the formation of a new European IT Services division following the acquisition of ITpoint AG (ITP), a Swiss IT Services Company that provides a suite of integrated solutions and managed service for the workplace.
As part of its IT Services offering, Sharp has established its own pan-European IT Service Helpdesk, the European Technology Support Centre (ETSC) in Warsaw, run by Sharp employees who provide customers with up to 24/7 multi-language helpdesk support for IT Services. Working in conjunction with local operations, ETSC is supporting a rapidly expanding base of national and multi-national customers with various IT Services, from taking care of cybersecurity to actively monitoring systems to spot and fix even minor problems before they become a wider issue. This gives customers peace of mind and allows them the freedom to focus on running their business.
The combination of capabilities sourced from this new IT Services division also enables Sharp to add a new dimension of smart office services to its MFP, display, ePoS and laptop offerings, extending the value chain from these products.
Sharp’s new European IT Services division will be led by the founder of CIT, Colin Blumenthal, who is the newly appointed Vice President of IT Services Europe.
Colin said, “this is an important strategic milestone which will transform Sharp’s business in Europe and enable us to continue to invest and focus on growing a service portfolio that adapts to the changing needs of our current and future customers. Further expanding this new division of our business is a strategic priority, and we are excited to bring these new offerings and add value to our customer base across Europe.”
