Samsung appoints BetaDMS as Authorised Distributor for Large Format Displays

Beta Digital Media Solutions (BetaDMS), part of Beta Distribution, has announced it has agreed a partnership with Samsung to deliver its large format displays (LFDs) range with additional services that include in-house content creation, delivery and management. The partnership will enable BetaDMS' channel resellers to offer a full digital signage service to customers, expanding portfolios further than just hardware and generating additional revenue.

Samsung's LFD range will join the BetaDMS product solutions and services portfolio, designed to meet the demands of current AV and IT convergent needs. According to Beta, businesses today are looking for well planned, implemented and installed digital media solutions, which has hardware from trusted brands. The BetaDMS solution looks to solve the problem for resellers of integrating AV into IT and provides content creation and management, upgrades and analytics in one package.

At the heart of its proposition to resellers, BetaDMS delivers a full service cycle that offers the skills and knowledge needed to enter a market, create new opportunities and win business. Additionally, the post-sales phase provides installation, customer support and openings for repeat business.

Joel Chimoindes, Managing Director at BetaDMS said, "nowadays, just selling a screen is not enough. Businesses have a lot to say and for many organisations, large or small, digital signage is the best way of getting that message over to their target audience. The Samsung brand is a great one to have in our portfolio and a name that will attract the attention of potential customers. We believe by partnering with industry leading brands, such as Samsung, our resellers can easily meet the demands of the current AV market and offer the most complete digital signage solution the market."

Industrial automation makes way for information automation
Today, most manufacturing processes are automated on some level, and only growing more so. But can the same be said for our cognitive activities and information-related processes? Collecting, analysing, and extracting value from data is surely the next step in optimising industrial processes, yet the way it is currently treated in terms of technological investment and prioritisation would suggest otherwise. This is according to Jason Chester, Director of Global Channel Programs, InfinityQS.
