PaperCut has announced the addition of Cloud Print to its Mobility Print solution, available free in PaperCut Mobility Print.
PaperCut Mobility Print aims to simplify the printing process for Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) and other end-user managed devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops or Chromebooks.
The new addition means Chromebook users can now print remotely and outside the network by sending print jobs over the internet. Mac and Windows support will arrive before the end of September. The announcement is also a major step forward for schools and businesses looking for a Google Cloud Print replacement, which Google has previously stated will stop working after 31st December 2020.
PaperCut Mobility Print’s Cloud Print functionality will help Google Cloud Print customers’ transition in an easy and timely way to a powerful and robust alternative.
Steve Holmes, EMEA Regional Director, PaperCut said, “Mobility Print now harnesses PaperCut's Cloud Print technology to keep users printing when they're outside your network, or on an untrusted guest network. We’ve been looking forward to making this available to the thousands of workplaces that need to replace Google Cloud Print with a like-for-like printing solution. Furthermore, it adds value at a time when, for many, business growth and development has been stagnant for almost a quarter. Not only is PaperCut’s Cloud Print free, but it provides businesses with a better way to bring print flexibility and efficiency to their operations when it's so desperately needed. Users can press print at home, and pick the document up later at work, bringing a renewed simplicity to network printing.
“Over 10 million people happily use Mobility Print across the globe, from SMEs to large enterprises, law firms and schools big and small. PaperCut is constantly introducing solutions that present customers with a better way to reduce their costs, to work touch-free and to print more flexibly. With PaperCut’s new Cloud Print functionality, our Mobility Print solution offers customers easy access to remote printing, with the reassurance that it is from a trusted brand.”
