Panasonic unveils new professional 4K displays

Panasonic has announced March 2021 availability for its new 4K professional displays, the SQ1H Series, with two large format, slim display sizes: 75" and 86 IPS panel models.

With 1500 cd/m² and 1200cd/m² brightness, the displays are suitable for retail windows or the latest generation of smart retail applications. In addition, they can be used in corporate environments with bright sunlight areas like atriums and lobbies or open glass wall meeting rooms where regular displays would be difficult to see.

The SQ1H Series is equipped with brightness sensors to automatically adjust the backlight levels according to lighting conditions, with an option of three settings. The displays also have a long-life mode, which can adjust backlight brightness to extend product life.

The displays come complete with the premium features of Panasonic's existing SQ1 range including HDR and BT.2020 emulation, as well as 12 segment colour management, to deliver 4K images in the widest range of contrasts.

A host of display and connectivity options ensure content can be quickly and conveniently shared via a range of future-proofed methods, including 4K USB media player functionality and PiP capability. The displays also include an Intel SDM slot bringing intelligence and interoperability. It can be used for a variety of different business functions, including as a built-in PC for digital signage, a 12G-SDI terminal board for broadcast and events, and as a receiver for use with Panasonic's new Wireless Presentation System, called PressIT.
