A group of 20 Nimans staff will be running the Manchester half marathon/10K on May 20th to raise a target of £4,000 for Manchester’s Brain And Spinal Injury Centre (BASIC).
BASIC provides a wide range of centre-based support – including virtual reality rehabilitation – for those recovering from brain and spinal injuries, as well as their families. BASIC also supports Epilepsy sufferers, a condition which affected former Chairman Julian Niman who sadly passed away earlier this year.
John McKindland, Head of Solutions and one of the runners said, “this is an unprecedented team effort involving work colleagues, the wider company and also suppliers such as Gamma. BASIC provides a wealth of vital support and we are all aiming to go through the pain barrier to help such a worthy local cause – inspired by support both internally and the wider comms community. We will be running in memory of Julian too.”
