Nimans Project Manager, Scott Baron and best friend Craig Hoyland have completed a year-long charity challenge, finishing with an Olympic grade triathlon through Warrington. 

Scott devised ‘Scott’s Dirty Dozen’, a series of 12 ‘gruelling’ challenges which began in January last year with a 34 mile walk from Anfield in Liverpool to Manchester United’s Old Trafford football stadium. Cycling around Anglesey, a 10km army obstacle course, full body wax with headshave and completing the Three Peaks mountain adventure challenge were some of his many other feats of stamina and tenacity. So far more than £6,000 has been raised in support of Beating Bowel Cancer, inspired by close friends.

Scott Baron, Large Enterprise Unify Project Manager at Nimans said, “I’ve always wanted to do something for charity and I’m not one to do things by half. So over the last year and a bit I’ve pushed myself to the limit with the help and support of many friends including Craig. To finish the final challenge was an amazing experience. It was such a proud moment mixed with relief. We originally wanted to repeat our first journey from Liverpool to Manchester in reverse but it had to be scrapped due to bad weather. Overall there were so many highs and memories that will last a lifetime, all for such a worthy cause. We originally set out to raise £2,000 but we’ve more than tripled that target.”
