Nemo Office Club members and suppliers recognised for contributions

The Back Together Again conference in Stratford-upon-Avon saw the presentation of the inaugural Nemo Office Club awards at the Saturday night gala dinner.

For the first time since joining forces, members from both groups were part of the same award ceremony recognising their contributions to the group over the past twelve months across eight categories, including two new awards where submissions were put forward for the Durrells Sustainability Award, recognising exceptional business adaptions to reduce environmental impact; and the Keep It Local Community Initiative, acknowledging where a dealer had played a leading role in improving the lives of those within their local community.

There were eight awards presented on the night:

  • Commercial Business of the Year (sponsored by Dams): Paper House Plus
  • Retail Business of the Year (sponsored by edding): Morgan’s Stationery

Industrial automation makes way for information automation
Today, most manufacturing processes are automated on some level, and only growing more so. But can the same be said for our cognitive activities and information-related processes? Collecting, analysing, and extracting value from data is surely the next step in optimising industrial processes, yet the way it is currently treated in terms of technological investment and prioritisation would suggest otherwise. This is according to Jason Chester, Director of Global Channel Programs, InfinityQS.
