Nemo Group member achieves Cyber Essentials Plus Certification

Nemo Group member, South Wales Based Managed Service and Security Provider Morgan & Morgan has once again been accredited with the highest-level Government-backed Cyber Essentials Plus Certification Scheme as well as IASME Gold and International equivalent to ISO27001.

As an IASME and Cyber Essentials Certification body themselves, the certification is part of the UK Government's National Cyber Security Centre, developed alongside the Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises (IASME). The endorsement demonstrates Morgan & Morgan's commitment to protecting its products, services and clients against cybersecurity threats.

Michael Morgan, Managing Director at Morgan & Morgan said, "Information Security has always been a priority for Morgan & Morgan and the IASME Gold and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation is further proof of our dedication to protecting our clients against cyber threats. A great deal of work goes into achieving and maintaining many of the accreditations we have.

"We are very proud of our latest renewal achievement, and our ability to provide additional reassurance – particularly given the field we operate in, at a time when cybercrime rates are at their highest. The accreditation ensures that as a business we clearly demonstrate that we continuously offer the highest standard of cybersecurity to our existing clients."

The IASME Gold & Cyber Essentials Plus Certificate is further supported by industry bodies including local authorities, the CBI and is a government requirement for many contracts within the NHS, MOD and public sector. The certification process was carried out by an Independent security specialist, who duly assessed and tested security protocols. Morgan & Morgan successfully passed each of the required procedures. Showing competency and compliance across five main technical elements – access control; boundary firewalls and internet gateways; malware protection; patch management and secure configuration.
