Thirteen members of staff from Midshire have teamed up with eight employees from law firm, Primas Law to tackle the Wilmslow Festive 10k, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Taking place on Sunday 25th November, the 21 eager runners took part in the 3,000-participant strong run, with many embracing the festive season by wearing Christmas fancy dress and Santa hats to raise over £1,200.
The predominantly flat scenic course saw runners begin outside Hoopers in Wilmslow town centre, head south west down Knutsford Road, loop back around to Burnley Hurst Lane, and finish in the same place as the famous Waters Wilmslow Half Marathon on Mobberly Road.
Stuart Carruthers, IT Sales Manager at Midshire who coordinated the company’s participation said, “our staff have always embraced Midshire’s commitment to CSR and fundraising, when we found out that the Wilmslow 10k was supporting the Christie this year so many of us jumped at it, we also chose to raise money separately for the BHF, it should be a fun festive themed day.”
Daniel Thomas, Partner and Head of Litigation at Primas Law added, “at Primas we have recently had a push on CSR. Having heard that Midshire were taking on the Wilmslow 10k, we thought we could combine forces and raise as much as possible for the British Heart Foundation.”
Joining Midshire’s comprehensive managed print service in October this year, Primas Law offers specialist corporate, commercial, and property legal services from its three offices in Cheshire, Manchester, and London.
