• Midshire provides tiny tables for Libby Mae’s Little Angels

        • Midshire has been named as the official technology partner of Birmingham-based charity, Libby Mae’s Little Angels. Midshire has donated a full colour desktop photocopier to the charity and installed three new 22-inch tiny tables, complete with bespoke branded surrounds.

Founded by Charlotte and Richard Sharratt in 2013 after the loss of their new born Libby Mae, the organisation has raised over £250,000 to date, helping to finance the highly-specialised work of 18 neonatal units across the Midlands.

Steve Morgan, Midshire’s Regional Sales Manager said, “as a registered charity, Libby Mae’s Little Angels are entirely self-funded, so we donated £1200, and a sturdy desktop photocopier to help them reach their ever-increasing targets.

“I have personally been involved in and love supporting many of the charity’s initiatives. I took part in their annual golf day last year, and I’m very pleased to say I won.”

Midshire’s Group Marketing Manager Adrienne Topping is working with the charity to design a brand-new interactive app. Once the app is completed it will be used in conjunction with the easy-to-use tiny tables.

She said, “the app is being designed as an information hub for worried parents that need to know a whole manner of things relating to the health of their baby, from top neonatal units or surgeons and their locations, to finding specialised counselling or bereavement services.”

The charity currently funds ventilators, incubators, fusion pumps, monitors, iPads to keep separated loved ones connected, and even a specialised van that currently transports over 1000 babies annually.

Charlotte Sharratt, Libby Mae’s Little Angels Founder and Trustee added, “we have one of the tables installed at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, another in the Hospital’s neonatal unit waiting room, and the last we will take to events.

“Myself and my husband Richard just want to be able to give struggling parents access to information that we couldn’t find readily available, hopefully our experience with Libby Mae can have a useful and lasting impact.”
