Konica Minolta AccurioPress c7100 and c7090 achieve Fogra certification

Another two professional colour digital printing systems from Konica Minolta have been awarded international FograCert Validation Printing System (VPS) certification. The AccurioPress C7100/C7090 Series join the AccurioPress C14000 Series and the AccurioPress C4080 Series in receiving this industry accreditation.

Fogra, a research institute in Germany for media technologies, recognises print production systems that demonstrate commitment to ISO standards, based on measurable criteria. Fogra found that the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C7100/C7090 Series - ‘fulfil all criteria of this programme in the tested configurations’. The presses are now certified when running the optional Fiery, or Konica Minolta controllers.

The Fogra accreditation follows extensive testing in various printing conditions covering a wide range of capabilities. These included PDF/X conformance, proofing substrate colour, gloss and fluorescence, colour accuracy, uniformity, permanence, and light fastness. Other factors were fading, long and short-term repeatability, print rub resistance, colorimetric tone value transfer, tone value reproduction limits, image register, and resolving power and margin information.

Malcolm Smith, Category Manager, Professional Print at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd said, “this certification from Fogra is more recognition of how our presses deliver consistently reliable, high-quality colour results and open new opportunities for our customers. These presses perfectly match today’s demanding production requirements to help customers expand and create new profitable applications for their businesses.

“The AccurioPress C7100/C7090 Series was developed to support highly responsive print room environments. Therefore, it offers a choice of different controller front ends including our own developed technology and Fiery’s. Together with great software and services, we work closely in partnership with customers to rethink their operational agility.”

Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C7100 Series was launched in June 2021. The sheetfed production press features intelligent automation, enhanced finishing, flawless quality, advanced capabilities, and exceptional durability. The AccurioPress C7100 prints at 100 pages per minute (ppm) in A4, whilst the AccurioPress C7090 prints at 90 pages per minute (ppm). The systems are designed to help printing operations optimise performance, offer new and advanced print products, and grow their entire business.
