Kaspersky hosted tech experts from its partner community all across Europe, in an interactive Tech Summit around the evolving threat landscape, the company’s roadmap, and emerging technology trends.
The inaugural virtual European Tech Summit, that took place on 24th September, provided a platform for lively debate and a chance for partners to get up to speed with key services and training on offer from Kaspersky, to support knowledge building, strengthen relationships and enhance cybersecurity propositions.
Chris Connell, Director of European Operations, Deputy Vice President of Global Sales Network at Kaspersky said, “Kaspersky’s history is built on technology leadership, and also on close relations to our partners. A Peer2Peer exchange like it happened on our first European Tech Summit underlines these successful partnerships and helps us to provide first-class solutions tailored to needs, even in times when options for personal meetings are limited.”
Following this statement, the three and a half hours of sessions were designed to update attendees on the threat landscape and key technology trends and connect to each other. Changes and solutions within the company and wider industry were presented and kicked-off by the first session focused on the evolving role of cloud-based cybersecurity and the rising importance of securing hybrid cloud environments. Delegates were updated on the latest developments in cloud-based EDR to support this rising need.
The second session covered the importance and changing nature of industrial security, outlining a live simulation approach and the benefits in helping to combat industrial cyber threats. A session dedicated to the Kaspersky roadmap took attendees through plans and priorities, offered partners greater insights into solutions and gave a chance to be informed about future developments.
Advances in threat intelligence are crucial to combatting and understanding threat evolution. This topic was made for a lively discussion around the increasing importance of threat intelligence sources and the crucial role they play in detecting and protecting against fraud. The summit wrapped up with a session dedicated to tech news in managed services.
Gianfranco Vinucci, Head of Global Pre-Sales at Kaspersky added, “We are committed to continually updating and enhancing the products and services we offer to our partners and customers. Open engagement and interactive channels are central to facilitate information sharing and healthy discussion to further the success of our partnerships and future evolution of the company. The first Tech Summit event in Europe has given us a valuable forum for an exchange to gain vital feedback from our partner community on how we can further strengthen relationships and enhance ongoing support and success with Kaspersky.”
