Kaseya, the provider of IT and security management solutions for managed service providers (MSPs) and small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), has hired Jason Manar as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Jason, who was most recently named Assistant Special Agent in Charge for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) overseeing all cyber, counterintelligence, intelligence and language service programs for the San Diego office, will play a pivotal role in further solidifying Kaseya’s security stance.
Fred Voccola, CEO, Kaseya said, “Jason has a remarkable background battling cybercrime targeting U.S. companies and entities. We worked closely with him during the July attack on Kaseya’s VSA customers and were so impressed with his qualifications and handling of the situation that we asked him to join Kaseya as CISO. We only hire the best, and Jason is top-of-the-line.”
Jason will oversee information security and compliance for Kaseya, leading the company’s cybersecurity division to identify the industry’s latest threats and vulnerabilities and intercept them. Additionally, as CISO, he will ensure compliance with security requirements associated with government regulations, which vary by global region.
Jason said, “Kaseya provided the most transparency of any company I have seen, by delivering near real-time information to its customers. I was amazed to see the level of commitment, care, and integrity Kaseya showed; it surpassed anything I had seen in 16 years. I look forward to continued transparency and further strengthening Kaseya’s security posture while upholding our unsurpassed commitment to customers.”
