Ingram Micro to offer refurbished computers to resellers

Ingram Micro UK & Ireland has begun a new partnership with T1A (Tier1 Asset), which will launch an entire new category at Ingram Micro that was not previously available; Refurbished Computers. The move will also mean that Ingram Micro is the first distributor in the UK to offer refurbished computers to resellers.

T1A is a reburbisher with more than 20 years' experience in the channel. They take great pride in their strict grading policy, and are Blancco Certified Gold Partner and Microsoft authorised refurbisher. Prior to any sales their products go through a rigorous 20-step testing process to make sure that their customers receive 100 per cent fully functioning products with zero to minimal signs of usage. They also offer certified data erasure using Blancco on site and at their facilities, providing environmentally sound disposal of used equipment, and are running and controlling all processes by a unique tailored Nvision Software system. All processes and products are scanned and auditable at any time.

Mike Farrah, Senior Director of Sales and Vendor Management at Ingram Micro said, "we are excited to be partnering with T1A to help address our customers requirement for affordable, high quality devices. This is a complimentary addition to our portfolio of vendors and products which allows us to address demand from both our reseller partners and end-users."

Resellers will receive a 24-month warranty and 30 days trail with each computer.

Lars Røhmann, Sales Director for T1A added, "by entering this category, Ingram Micro are sending a clear signal to the industry that they will take an active part in distributing upcycled products. As a leading Circular Economy company in Europe, our goal is to reduce the environmental impact on a global level and give our partners and end-users the opportunity to choose an environmentally friendly solution by buying refurbished top-quality IT products. The partnership with Ingram Micro will give us a step in the right direction and seriously contribute to reduce the UK's environmental IT waste. We are very much looking forward to working closely with Ingram Micro on promoting and distributing top refurbished quality desktops and laptops."
