ACCO Brands hosted an event at the Jaguar Experience Centre in Birmingham last Wednesday (14th March), bringing together business leaders from the UK and Ireland. The event showcased some of ACCO's brands and products, as well as revealing the businesses plans for the future. The day was topped by an inspiring speech from Baroness Karren Brady.
The event focused on the key to business growth, including what makes a brand stand out, and how maintaining a multitude of well managed and clearly defined brands can lead to increased sales and profitability for resellers and for the wider office products industry. There were presentations from the ACCO Brands team, including Senior Vice President of Sales EMEA, Nigel Gunn, Vice President, Mark Wilkinson, Regional Marketing Manager, Elisabete Wells and Country Manager, David Richardson. The speeches focused on how resellers can collaborate with ACCO Brands to boost sales in 2018 and what the future of the office products industry is set to look like.
The speech from Baroness Karren Brady proved one of the event highlights and illustrated how she complemented ACCO Brands' own values. Famous for high profile roles at West Ham football club and on the BBC Apprentice series, Karren revealed her six ingredients to business success include: leadership, ambition, determination, attitude, direction and positivity.
Mark Wilkinson, Regional Vice President, UK and Ireland said, "the event was a huge success. Guests at the event had the opportunity to be the first to view new products for 2018, including the Leitz MyBox storage range, Leitz NeXXt stapling range and Rexel's Auto Feed shredders with SmarTech, alongside existing bestseller products. ACCO received positive feedback from the exclusive preview of the 2019 market product innovations from all that attended. The preview included the introduction of a coordinated range of desktop and filing products 'Rexel Choices', the Rexel Momentum range of shredders, and the world's first widescreen whiteboards.
