EPOS wired UC headsets now Certified for Microsoft Teams

EPOS has announced that its range of wired IMPACT headsets, which were previously certified for Skype for Business, now offer a firmware upgrade to be Certified for Microsoft Teams.

EPOS' IMPACT Line is designed to deliver on the customer experience with a portfolio of high-end audio tools that ensure comfort, easy call handling and rich, natural sound – all while reliable, intelligent technologies filter out unwanted noise, enhance audio and boost efficiency.

Theis Moerk, Vice President of Product Management at EPOS said, "we are very excited to see our full range of wired IMPACT headsets now being Certified for Microsoft Teams. These are designed to improve productivity and efficiency while ensuring excellent customer experiences, and the integration of Teams is an essential part of making that happen."

The certification update for Teams delivers all of the previous benefits of Skype for Business certification and adds enhanced functionality in Teams, allowing users to receive notifications and instantly jump to the notification in Teams. The existing green call activity LED light on the headset now offers notifications for missed calls, voicemails or meeting start. By pushing the call answer button, users will invoke the application, which brings them directly to the relevant notification: Missed calls, voice calls or meetings.

If users have previously purchased one of the wired IMPACT products, they will simply have to do a firmware update via the client application, EPOS Connect, to upgrade their devices and get the full Teams functionality. Alternatively, with EPOS Manager – a free cloud-based IT Management tool - IT Managers can implement the firmware update across an entire organization's IMPACT headset users from a central position, thus keep them in complete control of the organization's audio devices.

Ilya Bukshteyn, Partner Director, Microsoft Teams Devices at Microsoft Corp. added, "our collaboration with EPOS enables us to provide our joint customers, contact centres and office professionals across the world, with the best possible audio quality when using Microsoft Teams calling and meetings. We are pleased to see that EPOS' line-up of wired headsets will now be Certified for Microsoft Teams, and supporting advanced integration into Teams for seamless communication and collaboration."
