Croydon based distributor, DMC Business Machines, has announced that it has raised over £10,000 for Starlight Children's Foundation, three months ahead of schedule.
In March 2016, the company's own remanufactured toner brand, planitgreen celebrated its 4th year of business by setting a target to raise £10,000 for Starlight. DMC hit its first and second quarterly micro targets of £2,500 and £5,000 each with a month to spare and by October had raised £7,000 for the charity.
Thanks to a 3rd Quarter full of fundraising events, donations and healthy sales figures, the DMC team were able to raise the final £3,000 to hit the total target of £10k before Christmas. This achievement was seen as the 'perfect way to end 2016'.
Toby Pedder, CSR Coordinator at DMC said, "we have now been working towards our £10,000 target for nine months, the 3rd Quarter mark in our year-long initiative. I am extremely proud to announce that together with our customers, corporate partners, staff, friends and family, the planitgreen fund-raisers have now exceeded our target. We would like to express our sincerest thanks and gratitude to all that have participated, donated and supported our initiative so far and would encourage anyone who wishes to help to get in touch with our team. Thank you once again and congratulations to all involved."
Since planitgreen launched in 2013, the brand has raised £33,000 for Starlight Children's Foundation. The team has so far taken part in Swim Serpentine, Windsor Half Marathon, The Purbeck Plod, Spartan Race, Color Vibe, Summer Parties, Cake Bakes, Tuck Shop Sales, Dress Down Days and Boot Fairs.
Starlight Children's Foundation grants once in a life time wishes and entertainment for seriously and terminally ill children within the UK.
