Dams double at Nemo

Dams, the office furniture specialist, picked up two awards at the Nemo dealer group conference 2017. Dams have been crowned Vendor of the Year 2017 and awarded the Best New Product of the Year for their fast-selling Elev8 sit-stand desks.

The company received these top awards at the Nemo refresh conference hosted at the luxurious Beaumont Estate in Windsor on 23-24 June. The Vendor of the Year award, which is voted for by Nemo dealers, recognises Dams extensive UK manufacturing operations and the hard work of Dams employees across all departments of the business.

Elev8 desks, the New Product of the Year award winner, allow the individual user to electronically adjust the desk height from a sitting to a standing position with the touch of a button. The ability to sit and stand during the average working day has huge health benefits to the user, helping to burn calories, boost energy levels, improve posture and promote mental well-being.

During the Nemo conference, Dams also showcased their new virtual reality space planning technology - with a medieval twist to fit in with the Nemo conference theme for this year. The virtual reality demo allowed people to step into a virtual view to truly envisage the full space and show how a finished Dams furniture project will look.

Chris Scott, Managing Director said: "The whole team is extremely proud of these awards, as it reflects the exceptionally high level of service we provide. Our customers are our number one priority, which is why we remain committed to offering excellent service, competitive products and an extensive range of furniture solutions, so it is fantastic to be recognised as the exemplary supplier in the industry."

Dams are a privately owned UK manufacturer and wholesaler of office furniture, operating from 3 sites in Knowsley, Merseyside. 2017 is a golden year for Dams, as it marks 50 years of company heritage and commitment to the office furniture industry.

In 1967, Barry Scott started DAMS (Dictating and Adding Machine Service) as a one man operation purely to do repairs to business machines. Half a century later, Dams are in a strong position as one of the UK's leading full range manufacturers and suppliers of office furniture.
