Columbus honoured as Commerce Partner of the Year

Columbus, a digital business services provider, has won the award for UKI Commerce Partner of the Year at the Optimizely 2023 Partner Awards. The Optimizely annual awards recognise top-performing partners among Optimizely’s global network of more than 700 partners worldwide.

The Partner Awards celebrate Optimizely partners for their exceptional work empowering merchants to build, innovate, and grow their businesses. Out of 11 total categories whose applicants were evaluated by a panel of Optimizely employees and executives, Columbus was specifically recognised for providing revolutionary solutions and services for brands. It was this innovation and empowerment that enabled Toolstream to reinvent its online B2B e-commerce presence to deliver an outstanding customer buying experience. Toolstream is a B2B distributor of tools, power tools, and premium workwear, and won the Best Buying Experience award from Optimizely for creating an effortless shopping journey, with a focus on personalisation and embracing the mobile trend, leading to increased mobile engagement.

Erling Schjetne, Global Business Line Executive of Digital Commerce at Columbus said, “there are two highly important factors as to why Columbus has been given this Partner award. Our deep understanding and knowledge about the powerful Optimizely platform, and our genuine commitment to our customers' needs and overall success. We help our customers develop by challenging the way they think about e-commerce solutions and working with them to develop their businesses. This, in turn, creates new business value for them and also in our own organisation by educating our consultants and helping us to improve all our internal processes and collaborations."

The awards were announced at Opticon in London, Optimizely’s annual tradeshow and conference. Here, representatives from Columbus and Toolstream gave a speaker session on how e-commerce businesses can bring elements of the B2C customer experience to B2B customers and ensure every digital interaction exceeds customer expectations.

James Moses, Business Line Market Unit Director for Digital Commerce at Columbus UK added, “the Commerce Partner of the Year award is recognition that Columbus has the right people in place – people who make a stellar difference for their clients and colleagues. We are also happy to have a very close collaboration with Optimizely, a relationship that grows stronger each year.”
