Discussion around how artificial intelligence is transforming the way we work dominated day one of UC EXPO and Amy Chang, General Manager of Collaboration Technology at Cisco kicked off the day, showcasing how to leverage the power of AI to enable better communication and collaboration in the workplace.
Amy provided insight into cognitive collaboration – technology that weaves context and intelligence across applications, devices, and workflows, connecting people with customers & colleagues, to deliver an unprecedented experience that transforms the way we work.

With highlight sessions including Praful Shah of RingCentral who explored the new cultural reality of today’s workforce; and the next generation cloud solutions with integrated AI; “For modern enterprise communications, cloud isn’t a better way of doing it, it’s the only way to do it.”
Additional highlights from UC EXPO 2019 included:
· Jennie Tietema from Amazon Web Services educated the audience on how Amazon Chime allows employees to meet, call and collaborate with the security of AWS.
· Christopher Parker of Sharp presented new research on the impact of indoor air quality, temperature and lighting on office worker performance and wellness. He also discussed Sharp’s new Windows Collaboration Display which includes IoT sensors to create better systems for automating and allow for a more comfortable meeting room environment.
· James Martin of Darktrace discussed the increasing threat to critical infrastructure, and the unavoidable need to understand and secure complex networks. Martin projected the profound impact of AI on our future and how we can protect ourselves from the inevitable rise of data theft.
