The BOSS Federation has announced that Sean Starkey and Adam Noble, Chief Commercial Officer, Complete have resigned from their positions on the Board.
Sean has contributed greatly to BOSS throughout his active tenure, bringing his wisdom and industry experience from his roles at Spicers, GBC (latterly ACCO Brands), Snopake, and Durable. He chaired the BOSS Manufacturer’s Forum from 2011-13 and held the position of Vice Chairman of the BOSS Board from 2013-14 and Chairman from 2014 -16.
Sean Starkey said, “it has been a true pleasure serving on the BOSS Board for some 14 years and indeed being part of our Industry for 35 years. I have always wanted to return to the countryside an area where I grew up, so whilst it is with some degree of trepidation, I am embarking on a new life on our Shropshire smallholding and working with my wife on her Interior Design and Supply business and taking on a couple of new Non-Exec or Consultancy roles in due course to replace those I am vacating. I would like to use the opportunity to say how much I will miss so many people in our industry and hope to stay in touch with as many of you as possible.”
Adam who was the former CEO of Irongate Group has served on the Board since 2017.
Adam Nobel said, “I have really enjoyed my time working with BOSS and its Board who are working hard to support our wonderful industry, and whilst I’m no longer active on the board they will always have someone in me that fully supports the role of the federation in all they do. I would appeal to everyone involved in our industry to get behind Amy our wonderful CEO and get involved, join up and help strengthen and support BOSS, there is no doubt that the last two years have proved we are stronger as an industry when we work together.”
Simon Drakeford, BOSS Chairman said, “Sean has been an outstanding member and Chairman of the BOSS Board dedicating an enormous amount of his time to serve our industry and its Trade Federation. The whole Board and I will miss his contributions and wish him the best for the future.
“Adam’s refreshing, passionate and energetic views have been a great asset to the BOSS Board over the last 5 years. He will be missed but we wish him all the best with his future endeavours.”
Amy Hutchinson, BOSS CEO added, “I have found Sean’s advice and clear counsel so valuable over the last three years and am ever grateful for his insight, ideas, and advocacy for BOSS throughout his time on the Board. I look forward to seeing what Sean does next.
“I would like to thank Adam for his tremendous enthusiasm, his passion for the industry is infectious and I and the Board are very grateful for his significant contributions and support of BOSS, particularly over the last two years. I am delighted that Adam intends to remain actively involved with our events and forums.”
