Beta Distribution and AccelStor announce latest storage solution

Beta Distribution has been appointed as the exclusive UK distributor for AccelStor, the software-defined all-flash array provider.

AccelStor built its NeoSapphire series of all-flash arrays to resolve performance bottlenecks for I/O-intensive applications like virtualization, high-performance computing, database, and media processing. The full AccelStor NeoSapphire all-flash array range, as well as its recently launched all-NVMe array, NeoSapphire P310, are available now from Beta Distribution.

Tony Howard, Enterprise Strategy and Operations Manager at Beta said, "AccelStor adopts a true 'software-defined' approach to designing all-flash arrays to provide cost-effective all-flash storage with powerful performance for any scenario. A great solution for virtualization, enterprise clouds and datacentres."

David Kao, Vice-President of AccelStor added, "AccelStor is excited to partner with Beta Distribution to bring the innovative, ground-breaking NeoSapphire all-flash array technology to our enterprise customers and push the boundaries of IT solutions. By combining AccelStor's vision and expertise in all-flash solutions with Beta Distribution's experience in the UK enterprise market, our joint efforts will enable us to define exciting new opportunities and provide cutting-edge storage solution to our clients."

The NeoSapphire series comes in a variety of models and form factors, supporting common interfaces, including 10GbE, InfiniBand and Fibre Channel. Usable capacity ranges from 1TB to 23TB. NeoSapphire also offers performance of over 700K IOPS, while keeping TCO low. Many software features are included as standard, Snapshot, Remote Replication, and Free Clone are all standard, making this series perfect for virtualization, database management, and data protection. Selected models have achieved VMware Ready, DataCore Ready, Microsoft Server 2016, 2012 R2 and 2012 certifications. The whole series packs AccelStor's software technology, FlexiRemap, which enhances data protection, are designed to improve drive endurance, and accelerates random-access speed.

Industrial automation makes way for information automation
Today, most manufacturing processes are automated on some level, and only growing more so. But can the same be said for our cognitive activities and information-related processes? Collecting, analysing, and extracting value from data is surely the next step in optimising industrial processes, yet the way it is currently treated in terms of technological investment and prioritisation would suggest otherwise. This is according to Jason Chester, Director of Global Channel Programs, InfinityQS.
