• Annodata supports GLL Sport Foundation

        • Annodata, a Kyocera Group Company, has renewed its sponsorship of the GLL Sport Foundation (GSF), the charity helping young people to unlock their potential in sport. 

          With a longstanding commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), Annodata’s support will help to further GSF’s mission of supporting some the UK’s top athletes as they go for gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

          Joe Doyle, Marketing Director at Annodata said, “we’ve been an active supporter of the GLL Sport Foundation since 2015 and we are delighted to continue our relationship with them. The UK punches far above its weight on the global stage when it comes to sporting success and we have a great deal to be proud of, but still, too many young people are locked out of meeting their potential due to lack of funding. The GSF aims to change that and offers thousands of athletes every year the funding boost they need to propel their sporting careers. That is why we are delighted to continue our support for the GLL Sport Foundation and look forward to seeing what their talented athletes can achieve at Tokyo 2020.”

          GLL is committed to promoting sport in the community and aims to foster sporting success amongst British athletes. Central to this aim is the GSF, which has key objectives to help reduce the financial burden facing young people as they progress within their chosen sports.

          Since its inception in 2008, the Foundation has provided over 16,000 athlete award bursaries totalling over £11million of support to talented individuals including Tom Daley, Anthony Joshua, Susie Rodgers, Michael McKillop, Louis Rolfe, and Lutalo Muhammad. In total, 23 medals were won at the Rio Olympic Games (8 medals) and the Paralympic Games (15 medals) from a group of 45 athletes who received support from the Foundation. 

          James Jebb, National Manager at the GLL Sport Foundation, added, “a lack of access to funding is one of the main barriers facing young people looking to break into sport, and our work to address this funding gap wouldn’t be possible without support from companies like Annodata. Annodata is a long-time supporter of the GSF so we are extremely pleased that they have renewed their sponsorship at a time when many of our athletes are limbering up for the next Olympic Games.”
