Advantia recently held its second successful Dealer Principal day. The meeting focused on what the group had achieved over the last six months, the further improvements planned in the near future and more importantly where the group is heading in the future.
Steve McKeever, Advantia CEO started by reflecting on where the group had come from and what it had delivered in the past six months. This included changes to the board and the role of board members now being more pro-active with full involvement in a number of projects with a view to moving the group forward. He reminded members about the introduction of the ‘Community’ portal and ‘Cube’ e-marketing platform.
This was followed by a presentation from Steve Horne, SPOT CEO who updated the group on the changes that had been made in Spicers over the last 12 months and where he saw the future going with an outline of the products and services that would be coming.
There were a further three presentations made, one by DAMS furniture, a new contract the group has just entered into, a second by a managed print supplier the group are looking to provide and the final one an update on the workwear and PPE projects the group are working on.
Steve bought the meeting to an end with a market overview and a vision of where he saw the group going in the future, this included some radical thinking outside of the box which is currently being explored. Members agreed it was a very positive meeting where they could see a lot had happened over the last six months and were excited and enthused about the future.
Steve said, “Advantia are now well positioned for the opportunities ahead in a marketplace that is changing shape as customer demands change. We as a group have to make a difference to our members, we owe it to them to provide real growth solutions. To do this we need to investigate potential opportunities that sit outside of traditional models. We are putting the platforms in place, all of which are free to our members, to make sure we are ready for the new products and services required by end users. This meeting has demonstrated what we have delivered in a relatively short space of time, it has shown what is planned for the next six months and finally provided a vison of where we are heading. Watch this space.”
