Westcoast signs distribution agreement with LG

Westcoast Limited and LG Electronics Mobile have announced that they have agreed a non-exclusive distribution agreement to sell LG mobile devices within the UK and Ireland.

The deal adds to Westcoast's portfolio of mobile vendors and will focus on sales of the LG Mobile Android powered handset and smartwatch range. With Westcoast's expertise in mobile solutions, the distributor aims to offer LG the breadth it deserves across all of its markets.

Alex Tatham, Managing Director Westcoast said, "this strengthens Westcoast's ability to compete for the ever-changing handset market in both the retail and business space. The absolute commitment shown by the LG team is a distinct driver for our enthusiasm for the brand. We look forward to successfully building the LG business together."

Andy Coughlin, Business Leader Mobile - Northern Europe added, "after a thorough review of our open market strategy, we are delighted to report Westcoast will be partnering with us to supply mobile devices and smartwatches to the UK and Ireland market. Westcoast has a fine pedigree in mobile distribution and we are certain the focus and professionalism they offer will lead to an exciting partnership enabling us to better communicate our value proposition to the market."'

To mark the launch of this new partnership Westcoast will be offering a free LG Rolly keyboard with purchases of the LG G6.
