UTAX UK is celebrating the success of its Direct Service and Technical division.
Paul Young, Head of Technical Services at UTAX, will be quietly celebrating his division's fourth year of operation which has seen their work in providing UTAX's contract machines grow by almost 22% over the last year.
There are now 10 Field Technicians in the UTAX Direct Service Division, three of whom provide a dedicated installation service for the UTAX Partners across the UK. Responsible for meeting and exceeding every aspect of client expectation from pre-delivery inspection to network connection and relevant hardware training, the installation team will also remove the customer's old equipment, if required, together with unwanted consumables.
Paul Young said: "Our response team who handle the initial client call sort out 15% of all issues there and then. We also resolve 81% of all call outs within the first visit and the Direct Service team are working hard to achieve 95%." He added: "UTAX Direct Services also provide software and network connectivity as additional services but we are finding that more and more of our Partners are offering Managed Print Services to their customers which includes many of these services."
As the team has grown so has the need to improve efficiency and sustainability which is why UTAX has introduced a network of Big Yellow Storage facilities around the UK where their regional Field Technicians can centralise both storage and parts delivery.
Paul Young explained the reason for choosing to use Big Yellow Storage: "Having someone responsible from Big Yellow on site who can sign for deliveries is essential and this system now supports our division's ethos of constantly improving service."
