UKFast announces line-up for new event, Cloud UK Live

UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones MBE is to welcome the line-up of guest speakers at a new technology event, Cloud UK Live, taking place at the firm's purpose-built event space, UKFast Campus in Manchester, on 6th July.

The first in a series of free events, Cloud UK Live brings Manchester's tech scene into global focus with the attendance of senior figures from Cisco, Microsoft, Dell and VMware.

Lawrence Jones MBE will be joined by a line-up of guest speakers including David Rowan, Editor of Wired magazine, along with 250 attendees.

Lawrence said, "bringing these amazing companies to Manchester and showcasing our incredible tech community is a fantastic opportunity. Our city has so much to offer and it's great to bring these global players here to help us continue to grow. We have some amazing speakers at the event, both from UKFast and from further afield. We're creating a huge buzz around tech in the city and it's incredibly exciting."

The full line-up includes Jo Laking, UKI Cloud Director at Cisco; James Akrigg, Head of Technology for Partners at Microsoft and Peter Barnes, UK Executive Director at Dell.

Lawrence added, "new technologies open up incredible opportunities, but companies need an understanding of how cloud can fit into their operations and how it can be of benefit. It's the same with any project; you have to have the right tools to deliver the job."

Lawrence is set to open Cloud UK Live with a talk on digital transformation. The event takes place at UKFast Campus, Birley Fields, Manchester from 2pm to 6pm on Wednesday July 6th. For more information or to register to attend visit www.clouduklive.com
