Channel Info has learnt that South-Wales based, Triumph Furniture has gone into administration, announcing the loss of 252 jobs.
The family-run manufacturer, established in 1946, supplied more than 600 furniture dealers but went into administration last week due to the fall in sales over the last 10 weeks. Efforts were made to secure new funding and to sell the business but were short-lived.
239 jobs are said to go immediately and 13 will remain in the short-term to help administrators.
Begbies Traynor has been appointed as joint administrators to manage the company.
