Toshiba UK has launched Toshiba Transform, a new consultancy service designed to help schools maximise their existing IT capabilities. Toshiba Transform looks to help schools best utilise the IT software and hardware already available to them, without having to invest much in the way of time, money or resource.
The bespoke service, which is open to any school regardless of its size or current IT hardware provider, also has a focus on helping schools transition towards Microsoft’s free or low-cost Office 365 education suite. Through the service, Toshiba will provide experts to work alongside participating schools’ IT departments to help with the technical set up within the classroom and in the back office.
The Toshiba Transform team will also demonstrate the software tools that best support teaching and learning with staff able to enjoy the benefits of tools such as SharePoint and SSO for increased process efficiencies. They will also be able to securely access information on almost any device, at a time and location.
Neil Bramley, B2B PC Business Unit Director, Toshiba Northern Europe said, “technology continues to advance rapidly and in ways which can hugely benefit schools. As both time and education budgets continue to be squeezed, schools may lack the resources required to make sure they are using IT beyond the essential elements of Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Toshiba Transform will give schools the opportunity to take on new knowledge and skills swiftly and with minimal investment, without the need for costly and time consuming training days – allowing staff to make the most of the technologies already available to them, and supporting students with their development.”
Beyond the initial audit, consultancy and set-up processes, Toshiba can continue to provide schools with ongoing support in order to ensure they remain up-to-date with the latest technologies.
