Strong marketing pushes growth at Metrik
XPD member Metrik Office says that 'pro-active marketing is key to business growth'. The Dumfries-based OfficeStar dealer is thriving in 2013 thanks to several new initiatives.
The company has grown its business consistently over the past 50 years, despite several difficult economic cycles and a rapidly changing market. Established in 1964, the team will be celebrating 50 years' in the industry in 2014, and over those years has built up a thorough understanding of its customers' requirements. Metrik believes that its consistent growth owes a great deal to its comprehensive and integrated marketing plan.
As its main reference tool, Metrik uses the XPD Business Catalogue, which gives a broad overview of the complete product range, to new and existing customers. Often used in conjunction with the Business Catalogue, Metrik also uses the Sale Magazine each quarter to encourage low spending customers to become more active, and to remind customers of its extensive promotions portfolio on a regular basis.
The company is constantly prospecting, with the entire range of the 'Little Book of Big Savings' throughout the year. Metrik has even started to use its own 'Metrik man' to brand publications, which XPD implements on its behalf.
