Spicers partner up with Xerox to create MPS division

The Spicers-Office Team Group (SPOT) has announced it has signed a long-term partnership agreement with Xerox to become an authorised Document Technology Partner and a reseller of its managed print services.

Office supplies distributor Spicers, will continue to develop and grow business as an existing Xerox supplies partner in the UK but with this latest deal, dealers will now be open to more sale opportunities.

Jeff Whiteway, CEO, SPOT Group said, "we chose Xerox as the recognised leader in managed print services and are delighted to become a Xerox Authorised Document Technology Partner. This new agreement runs alongside the existing partnership arrangement, which we plan to further expand during 2016."

With the Xerox brand in place, SPOT's plans for MPS growth will get a boost and benefit dealers to maximise potential using specially trained staff.

Donna Marley, Director and GM, Channels Group, Xerox UK said, "reselling Xerox's industry leading channel-managed print services offering is a major opportunity for Spicers' dealers to grow their businesses and provide to their customers all the benefits of MPS including cost savings and increased productivity."

SPOT is now looking for additional sales support and existing dealers can look forward to a designated MPS division as well as marketing support and road shows in early 2016.
