• Spicers invests in online resources

        • Spicers has made further developments to its customer facing websites and portals, to make the sites more intuitive and deliver better quality information.

          The corporate website www.spicers.co.uk has been given a full overhaul in a bid to help the user find essential information faster and present the latest solutions to dealers and potential new partners. The site also acts as a single location to log in to all Spicers’ services websites and parcel tracking. Alongside the renovation, full contact lists are now available for the functions across the Spicers business.

          Rebecca Stallard, Marketing Director said, “the new site better portrays the Spicers of today and all of the solutions we have on offer, helping our established customer base wanting to look at new ways to drive their business forward. We’ve seen a 50 per cent increase in hits to the site since launch so it’s created some extra interest.”

          Additional investment has also been spent developing extra functionality in the business’ online order portal SpicerVision http://uk.spicervision.net. This includes the introduction of a new ‘Product Catalogue View’ to make it easier for browsers to find what they require, and new adaptations to the ‘Quick Stock Enquiry’ area to make full use of the ecatalogue data set.

          The product information website, www.officerange.com, is another of Spicers’ online platforms to benefit from new investment. Launching under a new refreshed design, the site will incorporate better product navigation through improved attribute filtering and has been developed to be more responsive for users viewing on tablets or smartphones.

          Having embarked on a journey of an extended range of supplies for broader business needs through their ‘Limitless’ range, Spicers has also developed the site to enable search within its ‘Limitless’ range of products, a niche range offering customers more than just regular office and workplace supplies.

          Rebecca added, “this is a really exciting time as we are now implementing upgrades to all of our online portals and websites to improve the customer experience, and there are still more new initiatives to launch in the Autumn, so watch this space.”
