Spicers announces major initiative with P1

Wholesaler Spicers has recently announced what it describes as a 'game-changing' initiative for its UK dealer partners.

The program, called Performance 1st, sees Spicers and P1 Training and Development combine forces to bring Spicers dealers probaby the broadest offering yet, of performance improvement services and initiatives in staff training, performance management and recruitment.

It is offered with an exclusive way for dealers to fund this much needed investment in these areas - P1CS (Performance 1st Credit Services).

The Performance 1st program comes on the back of the successful New Talent Academy (NTA), created by P1 to provide a vehicle for Spicers dealer partners to source, recruit and train new sales talent. In the first 18 months more than 60 new recruits have been placed generating in excess of £3m in new business sales for their dealers, creating a live prospect pipeline exceeding £25m.

The new program will see the NTA format extended to include a broader scope of recruitment and training solutions - in sales, customer service, marketing, management and all core dealer disciplines. P1 will offer a variety of training programs to suit the different disciplines giving dealers the option of sourcing and training all performance related roles from one provider.

As well as the original NTA there will be programs tailored for experienced sales people coming into the industry, an NTA for customer service personnel and the Business Champions Academy (BCA); a course created and run by P1 for British Car Auctions and British Airways and tailored to the OP industry.
