Kim Thurgood has been appointed as Alliance Development Director to aid Spicers’ continued commitment to helping dealers grow and prosper.
Joining the senior management team, Kim brings knowledge and experience from an array of positions across the channel. Time spent with both wholesalers, as well as XPD, combined with her involvement with many dealers made her the choice to drive the Spicers Alliance programme forward.
Jeff Whiteway, SPOT Group CEO said, “we are thrilled to have Kim as part of the Spicers team and are very much looking into the future of what we believe the market place will look like. We have restructured our business over the last 18 months to position ourselves as a true supply chain partner for progressive dealers.
“We have a clear focus on providing solutions that allow our customers to focus on sales and marketing to the consumer, comforted in the knowledge that they have a cost effective and reliable supply chain to support them in their aggressive growth strategies. We are pleased Kim shares our vision and I am certain she will support our customers to maximise the opportunity.”
Kim, who joined Spicers on 1st November 2016, added, “nearing 30 years in the industry I have already witnessed and been part of many changes. Many of these years have been spent working with and supporting resellers to adapt accordingly. My decision to join Spicers is a reflection of our shared passion and vision for change and one that will enable me to continue being instrumental in the future development and prosperity of the reseller sector. I am therefore delighted to be joining a refreshingly different and more forward thinking Spicers team.”
The addition of Kim to the Spicers team follows a series of new recruits within other areas of the wholesaler’s structure.
