With events kicking off at ISE 2016 today, Sharp will be giving visitors a treat with Europe’s first preview of the world’s first commercially available 8K display alongside a host of new innovations.
The new 85” 8K monitor, currently only available in Japan, will stand alongside new products including the 80” 4K display (PN-H801), the 70” wireless BIG PAD (PN-70TW3) plus a new range of large format displays and 6-point touch and annotation software.
Sid Stanley, European GM, Visual Solutions said, “in 2015 we reaped the rewards of our investment in R&D, our partners and our channel strategy, and saw our Interactive Flat Panel Display (IFPD) business double in size. To continue this momentum, we’re adding new products to our range, and working with partners to bring these products to life in new ways.”
Highlights at the Sharp ISE stand will include a wall of three BIG PADs, configured to form a huge interactive surface plus four 8K displays will create a 140” video wall to showcase a unique set-up.
Focus will be on the 8K display which has been on sale in Japan since last October and features Sharp’s IGZO technology for a ‘true-to-life’ image reproduction. Joining it will be the latest 4K display which features an extended colour palette as on the 8K version, and the wireless BIG PAD to make meetings more engaging and productive with up to ten people connecting their laptops and mobile devices at the same time.
