The Premier Paper group teamed up with calendar manufacturer Rose Calendars to introduce the 'Premier Rose Award' at the 2016 Calendar Awards.
The awards were held on the 28th January at the Stationers' Hall in London and were hosted by TV's Eamonn Holmes. Premier Paper, already a sponsor of the event, launched the new award with Rose Calendars to celebrate and encourage young talent into the industry.
David Jones, Premier Paper's MD said, "new young, creative talent is important for the graphical communications industry. This award helps to recognise and encourage that talent."
Michael Rose, Rose Calander's MD added, "we are proud to sponsor this important new award, and look forward to seeing the winning design go into production."
This year's Premier Rose Award winner was Christian Cornall, a student from Blackpool & The Fylde College who was awarded for his 'Student Lads' Survival Calendar, winning £250 prize money. His design was though to have the 'most commercial potential' with a good functional design.
The new calendar will be produced for the 2017 market by Rose Calendars using donated paper from Premier Paper.
