• OKI calls on creatives for ‘Print My Ride’ competition

        • Global printer manufacturer, OKI, has launched its ‘Print My Ride’ competition, offering entrants the chance to design a car wrap, fit for the racetrack.

          The launch also coincides with the news that OKI is supplying a brand new livery for Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship Driver Mat Jackson’s car, and will also be sponsoring Mat’s British motor racing team, Motorbase Performance.

          Competition entrants will be able to upload their artwork to the Print My Ride website, www.okiprintmyride.com, and apply it to a virtual car, before submitting online showroom photos to be judged by an expert panel.

          Winners from three categories, ‘Most creative’, ‘Design that best utilises the OKI printer’s capabilities,’ ‘Judge’s favourite,’ and a ‘Wild Card’ entry will receive prizes for their contributions, ranging from a model car wrapped in their design to an all-expenses-paid trip to a 2017 Formula One Grand Prix event.

          David Bartrum, Motorbase Performance Team Principal said, “It’s fantastic to have OKI come on board with the team at this point in our campaign. To have that kind of radical change to Mat’s Ford Focus with such a vibrant and unique design for the last two crucial rounds of the season at Silverstone and Brands Hatch tops things off nicely.

          “We’re very proud to be the first team on the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship grid to carry the OKI brand and to demonstrate the new wide-format print wrap in action for the season’s climax and we look forward to a successful partnership off- and on-track.”

          Mat Jackson’s car will be sporting the custom-made wrap at the Silverstone race weekend taking place from 17th to 18th September, and at the Brands Hatch GP from 1st to 2nd October.
