• OKI announces new partnership with Tech Data

        • OKI Systems UK has announced a partnership with Tech Data for the distribution of the full range of OKI colour, mono and multifunction printers (MFPs) throughout the UK. OKI believes this new link will help maximise the potential of smart printers as part of a wider business solution and help realise its goal of expanding its channel to include IT solutions providers.

          As part of the partnership, Tech Data has appointed Ruari Metcalfe as a dedicated OKI Business Development Manager, responsible for supporting partners in identifying opportunities, growing sales and getting the best from OKI’s Shinrai Partner programme. This scheme gives resellers access to a range of benefits and resources, including sales support and promotional and marketing tools.

          John Thompson, Professional Services Manager, OKI Systems UK said, “as the business world changes with increasing digitisation, so the printer market is evolving. We already have a large number of opportunities in industries such as healthcare, graphic arts, retail and professional services. However, with Tech Data’s extended market presence, we now have access to a broader range of customer opportunities.”

          The move follows the launch of OKI’s new smart colour portfolio which extended OKI’s range, putting smart and high-end colour printing within reach of all sizes of business.

          New partners coming to OKI via Tech Data will also be eligible until the end of the month to take part in OKI’s Test the Best incentive, which provides a 50 per cent discount on up to two units per model on selected devices. In addition, those who haven’t bought an OKI product for over a year are entitled to 30 per cent discount on their initial purchase.

With OKI, resellers have the potential to gain a real competitive edge.
