Nimans has unveiled a new tribute in memory of its founder, Julian Niman – and it’s got visitors and staff buzzing with interest.
The Manchester-based company made a successful auction bid to secure an iconic bee sculpture which has been placed at the entrance of its HQ, renamed Julian Niman House.
A plaque reads ‘Banks-B. In memory of Julian Niman who like our bee was a colourful character.’
Over 70 painted bees adorned various parts of Manchester this summer and were recently sold to raise over £1m for the Lord Mayor of Manchester's We Love MCR charity. Julian passed away in January this year, having built his company into a £121m turnover operation. He was aged 64.
