Nimans’ Trafford Park Manchester Trade Counter hosted a focus day about the growing influence of fibre connectivity in the data infrastructure arena.
Held in partnership with fibre specialist Greenlee Communications, experts were on hand to demonstrate the latest equipment which included, fusion splicers, OTDR meters, fibre inspection, fibre tooling, visual fault locators, light sources and USB power meters.
Greenlee Communications Regional Sales Manager, Nicholas Coyle, said the day was a resounding success as it reinforced the high profile role fibre now plays in the data infrastructure sector, as it rapidly becomes the connectivity method of choice.
He added, “events of this nature are very worthwhile not only for brand awareness but also for educating customers about how our portfolio has changed from our traditional copper and DSL offering. Greenlee Communications offers a comprehensive portfolio of fibre products to support all aspects of fibre testing, this is particularly important now as fibre is tethering multiple communication technologies together. From cameras and broadcast to telcos and security systems, fibre is the medium being used across the board.”
