• New graduates join Blake’s graduate recruitment programme

        • Two new graduates have joined Blake’s graduate recruitment programme. Josh Kedward and Amelia Bourton have been employed as Business Management Graduates on Blake’s innovative graduate enterprise scheme designed to develop and nurture talented young people with an eye for business.

Director, Tim Browning said, “Blake is founded on the principles of creativity, vision, hard work and entrepreneurialism. Principles that turned a small business started at home into an international envelope and postal packaging brand selling over two billion products a year. We recognise the value that enthusiastic young graduates can bring to our business and our vision.”

“We look for ideas people, people looking to lead not follow, people who can deliver. In return we provide them with training, support and development; as a business it’s important to give something back.”

The programme encourages graduates to learn all aspects of the business as they spend time in each department with the added benefit of taking external management qualifications.

Amelia said, “It was the ethos and feel of Blake that most attracted me to apply. I liked the look of the graduate programme because I will rotate around the company, spending time in most departments. This will give me excellent all-round experience and allow me to gain a full insight into the industry.  I am also keen to gain external qualifications in sales and business management to facilitate my progression into management and thus becoming a valuable asset to the company.”

Josh said, “I wanted to progress my career by adding managerial experience to my CV and I came across the Blake job. This looked like a great opportunity to gain the experience I required with the additional chance of obtaining formal management qualifications.”

“Whilst on the interview day it quickly became apparent what an exciting and forward thinking company Blake are and I am really excited to be part of the team.”
