McGonagle to leave Mitsubishi Pencil Co

Owen McGonagle, General Manager at the Mitsubishi Pencil Company UK (MPC), is leaving the company at the end of October 2013. He has bee at the company for 14 years.

European Director, Olivier Brenot will assume control of the business and will become the nominated point of contact for the UK with immediate effect. McGonagle will spend his time until the end of October, on 'garden leave'. He is working on an agreed list of projects to assist the next stage of the company's development.

McGonagle says: "I have really welcomed the opportunity given to me back in 1998 to be part of a team which would go on to establish a successful brand within the UK market, and to promote a similar approach with our European businesses. I am honoured to have worked with so many good people, and to have had the added benefit of working with a product range which is, in my view, very special. I wish all of my colleagues, our customers, and our suppliers, past and present, every possible happiness and success in the future."

MPC says: "This is with deep regret that MPC is seeing Owen leaving the company at the end of October 2013. He has been one of the major contributors to the success of the UK business and has built its foundation and its growth over the number of years he has worked within the company. We wish him all the possible success both in his personal future and in the new professional route he'll now follow. Many thanks Owen!"
