Kyocera Document Solutions UK has launched the Kyocera European Service Awards, the awards designed to celebrate and reward the skills and knowledge of its expansive network of partners.
Returning for the 12th year running, the awards will see talented technicians from across EMEA battle it out in a series of heats to be in with a chance of winning an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan.
The Kyocera Service Awards are open to all technicians from any Kyocera contractual partner. The first stage of the awards, which needs to be completed by 31st July, is an online test, which covers topics ranging from hardware and software problems with printers and multifunctional devices to Kyocera’s product and service quality. The confidential test enables technicians to confirm their strengths and benchmark their skills against the competition.
Rod Tonna-Barthet, President of Kyocera Document Solutions UK said, “the Kyocera European Service Awards are our opportunity to give back to the countless engineers and technicians that help us to take our solutions to market and meet the needs of our customers. The first stage, which is the online test, really represents the pinnacle of Kyocera know-how, and even if you don’t think you’re in with a chance of becoming the ultimate champion, it’s still worth going through the test to benchmark your knowledge and work out if there are any areas you need to brush up on.
“These awards offer the chance to gain recognition not only for the finalists and ultimate winners themselves but also for their companies who have created environments in which they can flourish and rise to the top of their game. Then, of course, there’s the chance to win one of three once-in-a-lifetime trips; so, to all the technicians out there, what are you waiting for?”
The UK’s best and brightest will then progress to the next stage and compete at a national level, before facing a final round of rigorous technical challenges at a 2-day competition at Kyocera Europe’s head offices in Germany. The Kyocera Technical Engineer of the Year will be named, and the top three finalists will be rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Kyocera’s Vietnam or China Factory and a tour of Kyocera’s Headquarters in Osaka, Japan.
